It's Never Too Late to Exercise

Yet another article, this one from the BBC, explains that it's never too late to increase your level of exercise. A study in Sweden of 2,200 men, from age 50 to 60, found that those who increased their level of activity from low (sedentary) or moderate to high within that span lived as long as those who were already exercising at a high level by age 50!

A Bit about Gray Hair

Last month, while studying vitiligo (a condition in which the skin loses pigment in patches), European researchers discovered a piece of the explanation for why hair turns gray. Every hair cell makes hydrogen peroxide, and, over time, the amount accumulates, eventually blocking the synthesis of the normal pigment of the hair. This article points out that the role of other factors, such as stress (still considered folklore) and heredity, are yet to be determined. A major study in Sweden found no link between premature graying and shorter lifespan.
